Do you think the blood performances are a reaction against Safe Sex… or at least the idea that sex shouldn’t be “safe”?
I think they’re a reaction against safety, period. I don’t think (deep sigh) anything should be safe. I think we need a certain amount of order in our lives to function on a daily basis, but if things didn’t get shaken up regularly in my life, I would have to go out and shake them up.
