William S. Burroughs and Brion Gysin,
Ira Cohen, 1983

morning meditation

we know all the answers and
still we struggle with our immortal longings
romney ryan and Rumi and once again Raphael gives me the dawn
I couldnt find my book
I lost my hat
but my key is still in my pocket
so what
without losing anything
what would I hope to find
I found my beard in the mirror
I found this sunlight in the corner
and now that water drips on the page
Eureka
I find myself in the bathtub
wich is just where I want to be
thirsty for a drink of water
longing for the sea

Ira Cohen

any of you fellow travelers can help me with that 3rd line I'm not sure I got it right ?
